I just wanted to talk a little about Dejah bleu kennels. I first went online to search about Bulldogs and ran into alot of kennels who are in the Oregon area, as well as people who wanted to give there bulldogs up for adoption. Please if you actually want a bulldog DONT get one online for adoption! I initially found a kennel Blue Valley Kennels, who I would actually recommend as well, as I was in contact with Rebecka for a purchase of a bulldog but the dog who was to be pregnant she learned wasn't. Rebecka immediately informed me of the information and I asked if there was another kennel she could recommend, she then told me to contact Dejah blue kennels. While both are in the same area, as well as good friends, I took her advice and asked if she (Rebecka) would contact Dejah Bleu Kennels for me and have them email me. It wasn't more than an hour I received an email. I responded to the email and mentioned that I wanted a puppy for my (40th) B-day. Karen (Dejah Bleu kennels) informed me that she had a litter only 2 days old. Karen then sent me pictures of the boys she had available (they were so cute and definitely, were 2 days old). I didn't know what to do, I was so excited, I chose the puppy I wanted. After that point she told me the price which I had a couple to choose from due to the AKC membership, after that the puppy was mine. She sent me pictures of the puppy EVERY WEEK there after. I learned that her policy is to not release the puppy till they are 8wks old. I loved this process, getting pictures of my puppy was the best feeling and it made me feel so safe, as well as to know he was safe and growing healthy. During this process I would ask Karen about food for him, habits he has, and anything pertaining to him as well as his father and mother. On the Dejah bleu kennels site it shows the complete lineage of my puppy's family. When it came time to pick my puppy up, we agreed on a time and place to meet, myself and my daughter met Karen as well as my puppies father (eddie). I gave her the final payment and we were off to our home with our new puppy Porter. I just learned the other day that his (Porter) picture is now on the Dejah Blue Kennels wed site under produced puppy's. Well that my story, and its all true, I left something's out but Karen can help you on answering the questions you may have cause there is alot you may want to ask. All in all, Dejah Bleu helped me more than I could ever imagine, Karen is and was so knowledgeable with the Bulldog breed, she really made things easy for me. I can only say good things about her and her family, as well as her family of Bulldogs. I am proud to say I'm a Dejah Bleu Kennels Bulldog owner, and have committed to the fact that any and all bulldog purchases within my family and friends of my family, will be advised to get in contact with Dejah Bleu Kennels.

My girlfriend and I purchased Roofus from Dejah Bleu Kennels on June 19th, 2009. Since we live in
Sacramento, we dealt with Karen through email in which she was very helpful and provided a ton of
information and pictures. She was willing to answer my flurry of questions and even provided personal
references from past buyers of her puppies. When we finally decided to go ahead with the purchase,
Karen was willing to meet us halfway in Redding, CA which was most appreciated.
Roofus came with supplies such as toys, a blanket, a leash and a collar but the one thing my girlfriend and
I loved the most was the CD of baby pictures! It is fun to look back on those pictures and see how much
our little man has grown. Karen also added a personal touch by getting him toys that her Bullies love, not
just the old run of the mill dog toys.
Roofus came to us completely healthy, no fleas and no worms as was verified by our vet. He stays healthy
to this day and any concerns we have had, although minor, were handled by Karen through research and
personal experience. Karen feeds her puppies a very high quality dry dog food, Canidae which is what we
kept Roofus on and he is doing great. This is very rare out of breeders as many go for the less expensive,
poorer quality food which could affect the puppy’s development. Also, Roofus has not shown any signs of
allergies which are prevalent in this breed.
Our puppy has an excellent temperament and has been doing extremely well in his puppy classes. At only
15 weeks Roofus knows: Come, Sit, Stay, Lay, Rollover, Leave It, Shake, and is learning how to “Pose
Sexy” (stick his but high in the air and pose). He is also very obedient and often goes without a leash for
walks in our neighborhood. On numerous occasions now, I have been approached and asked where I bought
Roofus and if I still have the breeder’s information. Without hesitation I give out Karen’s information and let them
know how goodRoofus has been. Overall, it has been a pleasure buying from Karen and I would and have referred
anyone looking to purchase a healthy and well mannered bulldog to go to Dejah Bleu Kennels.

Hello, I had got my 1st female bulldog from Karen. At that time I was undecided on what I wanted as far as
females. Karen helped me pick the best female for me that matched my personality.. She never rushed
me into picking and sent me lots of pictures of different angles to show me the different girls. I am
extremely happy with my girl We named "Sexi Lady". She is just gorgeous, Very healthy and just loves
Children. My husband and I had gotten 2 other males (pit bulls)from Dejah Bleu Kennels over the last 4
years.I would definately purchase another in the future. I truly recommend them to any one looking for
great dogs both english bulldogs and pitbulls. Karen looks to make sure her customers are happy and
satified guaranted. Thanks karen it was a joy working with you each and every time.

Just a few puppies of what we got!!
HeIve known Karen Hailey since February 2009. I find her to be a gentle, caring breeder who is also honest and
trustworthy. Karen and I met when a female bulldog that we had just bought came into heat unexpectedly.
This dog was our first female bulldog and our first attempt at breeding. We were very naïve about the whole
process and Karen proved to be a great support and a wealth of information, from the breeding, where she
successfully AId our female, through the pregnancy, and finally the C-section. Then she remained a valuable
source of support and information as we learned how to get the puppies to latch on to momma all the way to
getting them weaned and on regular food. I do not know what we would have done as we learned to raise
our first litter of pups if we had not had Karens help.
When Karen was breeding our girl, Taffy to Eddy, her male, we went to her home and felt very comfortable
leaving Taffy with her for a few days so she could AI her when she was ready. She has since AId Taffy again
for us and has also AId our second female, Sophie. Each time we left the girls with Karen for a few days and
felt they were quite safe in her care. Ive attached pictures of our first litter where Karen, with her vast knowledge of
bulldogs in particular and dogs in general, was a great help in raising them to be healthy, happy puppies.
As a breeder herself Karen has several female bulldogs, as well as two male. What I observe when I am at
her home is that her dogs are not kept 24/7 in a pen. I have been told by other breeders in the past that you
cannot let the females around each other because they will fight. Not Karens dogsthey are often in the
house with her or she takes them for walks around her property and all her dogs get along. I observe no
signs of aggression between her females and the males are just big lover dogs.
I would highly recommend Karen as a breeder and feel that any puppy that she has for sale would be a
healthy, well cared for dog.
